Shipyard Tours
Saturday, May 6, 2006. 9 am to 2 pm. Tour and view the current projects of 3 shipyards that continue to flourish in the 21st Century: Bay Ship, Palmer Johnson, and Great Lakes Yacht Services. Lake Kegonsa Sailing Club Syttende Mai Regatta
Saturday, May 20, 2006. 10 am breakfast meeting. Regatta on Saturday during Syttende Mai weekend. Race is open to all types of sailboats, with awards for the fastest finish overall and for fastest Portsmouth-rated finish. The day begins with a continental breakfast and skippers meeting at 10am, with a tune-up race at 11 and then lunch. Back to back races start at 2pm. First race at 11. Great Lakes Watercross Tour
Saturday, June 3, 2006. 7-8am on-site registration. 9-10am practice. 10 am to conclusion, usually 4-5 pm with awards presentations following. Personal watercraft racing. An exciting sport to watch and participate in; fun, competition, athletics, sportsmanship, family and friends. A Closed Course event is a contest of speed and agility featuring competitors negotiating multiple laps of a course that varies in length. Freestyle is the favorite, as spectators get a chance to interact with the competitors before, during, and after the competition. Free to spectators. Blessing of the Fleet
